Henrietta Josephine (Zappa) Chatterton was born on December 24, 1922 near Cumberland, Wisconsin to Henry Zappa and Christine (DaBruzzi) Zappa. Following her husband's death, Christine married Pasquale Anzevino in 1925 and moved to St. Paul, Minnesota. Henrietta grew up on the east side of St. Paul and graduated from Johnson High School in 1940. She was befriended to Donald P. Chatterton and they were married in 1946 following a five year tour of duty in the Pacific theater in WWII with the U.S.M.C. Her life revolved around family, friends, the church, and the Gladstone Fire Department in which she was active in the auxilary. She had many interests including upholstery, sewing, gardening, canning and was a skilled homemaker. Henrietta and her three sisters and their families lived within walking distance of each other their entire lives remaining close friends. Henrietta was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her sister Mamie Legato. She is survived by her children Jacquelyn (David) Price, Barbara Zosel and David P. Chatterton, seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren sisters - Mary Kansier and Margaret Anzevino. She died on March 1, 2014 in hospital in Springfield, MN surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
