Hazel Adelle Lowinske, daughter of William Hulda (Utecht) Grundmeyer was born on August 24, 1911 in Leavenworth Township, Brown County, MN. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. Hazel was raised in a rural home of her parents, and attended country school there and later attended Parochial Schools in Sleepy Eye. She moved to Sleepy Eye with her parents in 1929. On March 27, 1932 she was united in marriage to Marvin Lowinske in Sleepy Eye. They farmed for 30 years just west of Sleepy Eye and then semi retired in 1962. Hazel was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Women of Grace Ladies Aid and the Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed traveling, knitting, crocheting, needle work and most of all her grandchildren, great grandchildren great great grandchildren. She is survived by her granddaughters, Jeri Lynn Beltz of Farmington, Debra (Brad) Augustin of Fairfax, Margie (Curtis) Koewler of Fairfax, Connie (Randy) Kosak of Fergus Falls, step-grandchildren, Brenda (Cory) Garoutte of Glencoe and Bobbie Jo (Cliff) Carmody of Marshall, great grandchildren, Sara Matthew Beltz, Jamie Case, Josh Augustin Jo Beth Kratz, Dani Jo Michael Reinarts, Tori Koewler, Kyle, Caleb Karlee Kosak, 8 great great grandchildren, sister-in-law, Elaine Black of Hutchinson, Donna Lowinske of New Ulm and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin and son, Dale on March 1, 1965, parents, brother, Elmer, brothers-in-law, Alfred Zupfer, D.J. Black, L.E. Lowinske, sisters-in-law, Elvera Zupfer and Olga Grundmeyer and grandson-in-law, Tim Beltz.
