Harry Jacob Pankratz

A memorial visitation for Harry J. Pankratz, 67, Mountain Lake will be held on Friday, March 15, 2019 from 2-4:00 pm at Sturm Funeral Home-Mountain Lake Chapel. . Harry passed away on March 8, 2019 at the Sanford Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD from the effects of a ruptured aneurysm. On line codolences may be left at www.sturmfh.com. Harry Jacob Pankratz was born on April 30, 1951, to Jacob and Ruby (Ewy) Pankratz of rural Mountain Lake. He attended the Mountain Lake Public School, graduating in 1969. After High School, Harry joined the United States Navy where he served for 4 years. After leaving the Navy, Harry returned to Mountain Lake and began farming what is known as the home place. He retired a few years ago having farmed all his life, either for himself or for other farmers. While growing up, he was involved in both 4-H and FFA, using those skills learned for the rest of his life He is survived by his family: Bernice (Gerry) Goertzen of Homersville, OH, Ed (Sue) Pankratz of Mankato, MN, Maxine McDonald of Hartford, SD, Marge Pankratz of Mountain Lake, MN, Ruth Pankratz of Sioux Falls, SD, George (Khris) Pankratz of Mountain Lake, MN; many nieces and nephews.
