Harry R. Andersen was born February 14, 1921 in Tyler, MN to Martin and Mae (Rhode) Andersen. He was baptized at the Lake Benton Church. On May 6, 1946 he married Arlyne Boll. To this union five children were born, Daniel, Delores, Gary, Kenneth, and Donna. Gary was killed in an accident in Sioux Falls, SD in March of 1975. Harry served in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1945. He was a member of VFW Post #1914 in St. James, MN. On June 30, 1979 he married Estella Stauffer at Augustana Lutheran Church in St. James. Harry was a tractor mechanic and worked in Tyler, Tracy, St. James and lastly at Rosenberg Implement in Welcome for 13 years before his retirement. Harry enjoyed fishing, camping, crafts, model cars, and painting. Harry is survived by his wife Estella of St. James; sons, Daniel and wife LeAnn Andersen of South Sioux City, NE, and Kenneth and wife Kathy Andersen of Thornton, CO; daughters, Delores and husband Dawes Beynon of Brookings, SD, and Donna and husband Duane Rankin of St. James; one step-son, Stuart and wife Kathy Stauffer of Cannon Falls, MN; one step-daughter, Suzette and husband Robert Becker of Lewisville; two brothers, Walter and wife Gladys Andersen of Newark, TX, and Arthur and wife Pat Andersen of Bullhead City, AZ; and five sisters, Marie Otkin of Pipestone, Annie Boll of Luverne, Hannah Utley of Sioux Falls, SD, Martha Yonker of St. Paul, and Evelyn and husband David Carillo of Barstow, CA. He is also survived by several randchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son Gary Andersen.
