Harold Schottle

November 10, 1928 — February 29, 2012

Harold 'Bucky' Frank Schottle was born November 10, 1928, in Bashaw Township, Brown County the son of Frank and Vera (Swanson) Schottle. He was baptized and confirmed at Faith Lutheran Church in Comfrey. Bucky graduated from Comfrey High School in 1946, and was united in marriage to Idelle Hultgren on September 8, 1948. Church was very important to Bucky as he served on the Faith Lutheran, and later New Hope Lutheran Church parish councils, and he also was a member of the search committee. He served on the Tri-County Co-op board for 10 years and was president for 9 years. Bucky enjoyed fishing, visiting with friends, and especially enjoyed spending time with his family. Harold 'Bucky' Schottle died Wednesday, February 29, 2012, at Mountain Lake Good Samaritan Home at the age of 83 years. He is survived by wife Idelle of Comfrey; son Lanny and wife Liz Schottle of St. Cloud; son-in-law Douglas Stark of Rochester; grandchildren- Wendy (Alan) Brom of Richfield, Michael (Lisa) Stark of Rochester, Christine (Matt) Wolff of Victoria, Angela Schottle of Plymouth, Janelle Schottle of Bloomington, and Alex Stark of Rochester; great-grandchildren- Ben and Luke Brom, Tyler, Zachary and Dylan Stark, Ethan Wolff, and Gisele and Jayden Schottle; brother Ray (Leona) Schottle of Springfield; and brother-in-law Les Therkilsen of Springfield. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Debbie Stark in 2010; grandson Eric in infancy; sister Dee Therkilsen; and brother Gary Schottle.
