Gustavo Flores

Gustavo Flores, age 39 of Sleepy Eye, Minnesota, died on January 8, 2026, at his home. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye. Visitation will continue on Wednesday from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at St. Mary's Catholic Church-North Entrance. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at 11:00 am. The clergy will be Fr. Samuel Perez. Gustavo Flores, the son of Ismael Flores and Antonia Cordova de Flores, was born on September 28, 1986, in McAllen, Texas. He moved with his family to Sleepy Eye in 1991 and attended Sleepy Eye Public School from 1993 until 1998. He graduated from St. James Public School in 2005. While in high school, Gustavo played football and wrestled. He attended Ridgewater College in Willmar, playing football and studying drafting from 2005 until 2006. He obtained his CDL license and drove truck.

Gustavo is survived by his children, Graciela Ambrosia Flores and Griselda Antonia Flores; mother, Antonia Cardova de Flores; brothers, Vicente Flores, Ismael Flores, Armando Flores, Enrique Flores, and Mauro Flores; sisters, Alma Rosa Garza and Jessica Aracely Pedretti; and many other loving relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ismael Flores.
