Gregory Zimmermann

Gregory Dean Zimmermann was born August 21, 1961, in Redwood Falls, MN, the son of Donald and Lois (Otto) Zimmermann. He was baptized at St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Waterbury Township and confirmed at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Lamberton. Greg graduated from Lamberton High School in 1980 and attended Pipestone Vo-Tech for one year. He farmed with his brother Roger in Waterbury Township before driving truck for Farmers Livestock in Lamberton. Greg moved to Winthrop to work at Crop Production, then returned to Lamberton to drive his own trucks, as well as driving for Jeckell Trucking. He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and the Sons of the American Legion. Greg enjoyed fishing, camping and visiting with friends. Gregory Dean Zimmermann died Sunday, January 8, 2006, at his home in rural Lamberton at the age of 44 years. Survivors include parents- Don and Lois Zimmermann of Lamberton; brothers and sisters- Bev Zimmermann of Corona, CA, Denise and husband Mike Pelz of Plymouth, MN, Kevin and wife Jane Zimmermann of Lamberton, Roger and wife Kerri Zimmermann of Lamberton, and Kari and husband Dan Morisette of Marshall; 5 nieces; and 5 nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
