Gregory Alan Werner was born on May 3, 1956 to Walter and Janet (Remmele) Werner in Granite Falls, MN. He attended and graduated from Echo Public Schools and Canby VoTech. On August 2, 1974, Greg was married to Sharon Iverson in Belview, MN. The couple moved to Kerkhoven, MN where he worked as a diesel mechanic. In 1978, they moved to Sanborn, MN where he has worked for Fox Brothers until the time of his death. He has served on the Sanborn Fire Department for 20 years and for the last 16 years has served as the Chief. Greg was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and Modern Woodmen. His greatest love was his family and grandchildren. Greg also enjoyed riding and bike trips on his Harley, his cats, and being outdoors especially deer hunting. Greg died on Sunday, March 5, 2017, at the age of 60 as a result of a motorcycle accident. He is survived by his wife Sharon; children - Dave (Michelle) and their children - Kolton and Karlee of Colorado Springs, CO, Wade (Molly) and their children Cole and Derek of Lamberton, MN, Justin (Reagan) and their child Quinn of Colorado Springs, CO, Chris (Lindsey) and their children Sophia and Sammy of Hudson, WI; parents Walter and Janet Werner of Belview, MN; and brothers - Brad (Laurie) Werner of Echo, MN and Randy (Peter) Werner of Edina, MN.
