Grace was born on July 13, 1905 in Brown County, MN, the daughter of John Minnie Blanche (Pickle) Garrioch. She grew up and attended school in Sleepy Eye. After graduating from high school she attended normal training for one year. Grace taught country school for a short time. She married Leonard A. Jensen on February 20, 1928 at the Garrioch home farm in Eden Township. The couple lived and farmed in Brookville Township for many years. They moved to Sleepy Eye in 1977. Leonard preceded Grace in death in 1988. She was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Evan, the Ladies Aid and was Financial Secretary for many years. Grace enjoyed crocheting, quilting, gardening, reading newspapers and visiting with family and friends. Survivors include her daughter Carol (Darwin) Johnson of Springfield, grandchildren, Philip (Debbie) Johnson, Kahla (Tim) Petersen, Karen (Glen) Solarz and Diane (Darren) Haugen, great-grandchildren, Dan, Matt Mike Johnson, Jeff, Amy Heidi Petersen, Ryan, Adam Sara Solarz and Dylan Haugen, brother-in-law, Clarence Ninow of Morgan. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Leonard, sister Nina Garrioch and brothers, Clinton and J. Stanley.
