Goldie Kintzi passed away on August 4, 2020 at Pleasant View Good Samaritan Society in St. James. Funeral services will be 2pm, Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at Albion Lutheran Church, rural St. James, with Rev. Bob Springer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. We are asking those attending to wear masks and follow social distancing guidelines. Goldie Arlene Kintzi passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at Good Samaritan-Pleasant View, St. James at the age of 88. Goldie was born June 12, 1932 in Lake Hanska Township to Edgar and Julia (Ulen) Chute. She was baptized and confirmed in the Christian faith. She attended school in Hanska and at the age of 16 she was employed as a clerk at the Godahl Store where she met her future husband. Goldie married Eldon Kintzi on October 1, 1950 at Lake Hanska Lutheran Parsonage. Following their marriage they resided in Nelson Township for 68 years until Eldon passed away September 5, 2018. She was a full-time homemaker. She participated in circle and the women's group at Albion Lutheran Church, and had previously been a Sunday School teacher. Goldie was a master at baking and cooking, creating delicious sweets and meals for her family. She shared these goods with many other meaningful people as well. She loved flowers, country music, reading, and enjoyed time with her BFF Fay. She treasured any and all time spent with family. Goldie will be remembered by all who knew her for her kind, loving, and generous nature. Goldie is survived by her daughters Susan (Rich) Enger and Debbie (Frank) Schmillen of St. James, and LuAnne Peterson of North Mankato. She is also survived by her grandchildren Sean Allen, Melissa Wilson, Heather Allen, Andrew Peterson, and Chelsea Schmillen (Tim Moore), and great-grandchildren Michael, Addison, Aubrey, Jude, Milan, and baby Moore in October. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Rose Chute, best friend Fay Williams, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, five brothers and two sisters. Her memory and love will live on in the hearts of all those who loved her so much.
