Gloria Ryan

Gloria Virginia Ryan was born the daughter of Herman and Virginia (Ernst) Herbert in Milwaukee, WI on July 8, 1924. She graduated from Holy Angel's Academy in 1942. On April 14, 1945, Gloria was united in marriage to Russell Ryan at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Goldendale, WI. She spent countless hours volunteering at school, St. John Lutheran Home, as a hospice volunteer, and ministering to the shut-ins. Gloria enjoyed crocheting, knitting, sewing, gardening and flowers, traveling, life at the lake and winters in Florida. She also enjoyed making dolls, cooking, baking, and entertaining She was a member of St. Raphael's Catholic Church and the Legion Auxiliary. She is survived by her sons - Neil (Jody) Ryan and Gregory (Dee) Ryan both of Springfield; daughter Janice (Roger) Nordby of Venice, FL, son-in-law Armon (Karen) Kaehler of Alexandria, MN; 18 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren; and sister-in-law - Delores Herbert of Wisconsin. Gloria was preceded in death by her parents; husband Russell; son Lawrence Ryan; daughter Kathleen Kaehler; and siblings - Donald (Shirley) Herbert and Wayne Herbert.
