Gloria Susanne Edythe Kettner

Gloria Susanne Edythe Kettner was born on October 9, 1928 to Gordon and Edythe (Stock) Buggert in Stately Township in Brown County on the family farm. She attended country school District 66 and then attended and graduated from Comfrey Public School in 1946. Gloria then attended Normal Training in New Ulm and taught for three years in the rural area. On April 20, 1950, she married Arland Kettner in Springfield. The couple resided on a farm near Comfrey since their marriage. Gloria enjoyed crossword puzzles, quilting, traveling, writing poetry and time with family. She was an excellent cook and loved to make pies; no one left the house hungry. She belonged to St. Paul Lutheran Church where she belonged to the Rebecca Circle and quilted for missions. Gloria died on June 11, 2017, at Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Springfield, at the age of 88. She is survived by her husband Arland of rural Comfrey; children - Daniel Kettner of rural Comfrey and LeAnn Ravenberg of New Ulm; grandchildren Paul (Christie) Ravenberg of Sartell and Julie Ravenberg of Duluth; great grandchildren - Katelyn, Brandt, and Ashlyn; and brother Sylvan Buggert of Park Rapids. Gloria was preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law Larry Ravenberg; nephew Paul Buggert; and sister-in-law Betty Buggert.
