Gladys Reed

Gladys Reed, age 84, of Darfur passed away on December 19, 2020 at the Sleepy Eye Care Center in Sleepy Eye. Private funeral service will be held at Sturm Funeral Home in St. James with Rev. Jim Renz officiating. Burial will follow at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Darfur. Gladys Irene Moeller was born on June 29, 1936 at Fairfax, MN, the daughter of Frederick and Marie (Pulkowski) Moeller. She married Meril Reed in 1953 the couple lived in Darfur for 30 years. The moved to Pueblo, CO, where she and Meril owned a power sweeping business. They retired in 1995 and moved back to Darfur in 2016. She was living at Brickstone Manor in Comfrey at the present time. She is survived by her sons; Jim (Diane) Reed and Bob (Denise) Reed, grandchildren; Jim Reed, Amanda Rachow, Michael Sims, Donny & Jackie Reed, great-grandchildren; Isaiah, Jersi, Zaylen Rachow, R.J., Mathew, Julia Reed, Ayden, Serenity Sims, Natalya and Brynn Reed, brother Jim Moeller, sisters-in-law; Georgia Reed, and Gloria Dewet Stiles. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, daughter Cathy, grandson Randy, sister Rosie and brothers Albert and Ervin.
