Gladys Marie Lang was born on May 15, 1919 in Lake Hanska Township, Brown County, the daughter of Otto and Anna (Braulick) Kral. She attended country school District #69 and Holy Trinity Catholic School in New Ulm, MN. She was united in marriage to Eugene Lang Sr. on October 18, 1939 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in New Ulm. The couple farmed southeast of Springfield until Gladys moved to Springfield in 2001. She enjoyed being a mother and farm wife. She worked with the field work, milking cows, raising chickens, and enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking, baking, quilting, music, and dancing. Gladys was a member of St. Raphael's Catholic Church in Springfield, MN. Gladys died on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at St. John Lutheran Home where she has been a resident since 2004. She is survived by her children - Brunilla (Ray) Schilling of Sleepy Eye, MN, Kenneth (Linda) Lang of Springfield, MN, Eugene Mike (Connie) Lang Jr. of Springfield, MN, Lowell (Cheryl) Lang of Springfield, MN, LaVonne (Jerry) Hauth of Springfield, MN, and Daniel Lang of Springfield, MN; 15 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; siblings - Dolores Sellner of New Ulm, MN, Jerome (Dolores) Kral of Sleepy Eye, MN, Dorothy (Anthony) Krzmarzick of Sleepy Eye, MN, and Marion Schroepfer of Lamberton, MN; a brother-in-law - Linus Krzmarzick of Sleepy Eye; and a sister-in-law - Rosemary Kral of Sleepy Eye, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband - Eugene in 1983; children - Patrick Lang and Dianora Lang; siblings - Irene Kral, Leonard (Elizabeth) Kral, Loretta (Albert) Schroepfer, Angeline Krzmarzick and brothers-in-law - Gervis Sellner and Vernard Schroepfer.
