Gladys Gustafson

Gladys Gustafson was born to Carl and Mary (Hole) Ellingsberg on September 14, 1922 in Madelia, MN. She graduated from the Madelia High School. Gladys was united in marriage to Robert Gustafson in Madelia on October 8, 1942. She worked at various restaurants as a waitress. Gladys was an avid baker and cook, she was a connoisseur of recipes and loved collecting all varieties. Gladys was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Madelia, and enjoyed her circle group. She also took pride in being a member of the Auxiliary. Gladys is survived by her children, Emily (Bill) Johnston of Pierre, SD, Margaret Portner of New Ulm, and Raymond Randy (Sherri) Gustafson of Madelia; grandchildren, Angie, Jenny, Michelle, Darin, Kyle, Kevin and Tyler; 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; sister, Myrt LuConic of Elk River and sister-in-law, Violet Ellingsberg of Madelia. Gladys was preceded in death by her parents; husband Robert; brothers, Albert and Clifford and son-in-law, Gary Portner.
