Gerald Weber

Gerald Edward Weber was born on March 13, 1939 in Paxton Township, Redwood County, the son of Edward and Josephine (Mages) Weber. His parents moved to New Avon Township in 1943. He attended 1st and 2nd grade school in District 8 near Rowena; 3rd through 7th grade at St. Michael's Catholic School in Morgan, completing 8th grade at St. Joseph's Catholic School in Clements. He attended St. Anne's Catholic School in Wabasso for grades 9-12 and graduated in 1957. Gerald served in the United State Army from 1962 until his honorable discharge in 1964; serving as a missile mechanic at Fort MacArthur in California. Gerald participated in 4-H, and was a 4-H leader, Mass Server, sang in the St. Joseph's Choir, was an usher; served on the Parish Council at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in 1977 and on the Pastoral Council in 1978. Gerald was also a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters. He enjoyed traveling, woodworking, farming, music, and collecting belt buckles. He was a loyal servant of the Lord. Gerald died on Friday, June 8th 2012 at his home in Morgan, MN. He was survived by Aunt's Beatrice Weber, Springfield; Veronica Mathiowetz, Morgan; Lucille Mathiowetz, Sleepy Eye, and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents - Edward and Josephine Weber.
