Gerald H. Kollos was born on February 9, 1940, in Mankato, MN, to Herman and Anita (Grams) Kollos, Jerry lived a life filled with love, laughter, and a passion for hard work.
A devoted horseman from a young age, Jerry spent countless hours with his horses, bringing joy to himself and those around him. His love for horses remained steadfast throughout his life, and he continued to ride into his 80s.
Jerry was a loving husband and father. He married Delilajh Bjornson on June 9, 1962 and the couple raised their 5 children together. Jerry dedicated many years to working on a dairy farm in St. Clair, MN, before he found his true calling in Saint James, where he ran the local feed mill. As the owner and operator of Kollos Feeds from 1990 to 2008, he became a familiar face in the community, known for his strong work ethic and genuine care for those around him. After retiring, Jerry continued to share his skills and knowledge at Fleet N Farm until he stepped away from work entirely in January 2025.
Those who knew Jerry will remember him not just for his dedication and hard work, but also for his infectious sense of humor. He had a knack for making others laugh, always ready with a joke or a funny story that brought smiles to many.
Jerry is survived by his loving spouse, Delilah Kollos; children, Kevin (special friend Elizabeth) Kollos, Jeff (Tammy) Kollos, Jodie (Duke) Arndt, Mike Kollos, Jamie (Kaylene) Kollos; grandchildren, Drew (Alison) Kollos, Bridgette (Mitch) MaGee, Quinton (Brianna) Kollos, Bailey Arndt, Aiden and Mason Kollos, and 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Anita Kollos, and sister, Dorothy Kahn.
