Georgine Hofmann

Georgine Ann Hofmann was born February 21, 1930 in Charlestown Township, Brown County to Reinhart and Josephine (Haak) Weber. She graduated from Sanborn High School and was united in marriage to John Hofmann on October 25, 1949 at the St. Thomas Parsonage in Sanborn. Georgine was a lifetime resident of Sanborn and a lifetime member of Zion Lutheran Church. She was a member of Zion Ladies Aid and enjoyed making blankets and stocking caps for the homeless, charity organizations, and the VA. Georgine enjoyed crocheting, baking, she also enjoyed going to the lake and Texas, and especially cherished her time with the grandchildren. She is survived by husband Johnnie of Sanborn; son Michael of Sanborn; daughters- Vicki (Chuck) Roiger of Springfield, Trudy (Larry) Larson of Wabasso, and Theresa (Pat) Ryan of New Prague; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister Arlene Wog of Lamberton; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; son Thomas in 1965; grandsons- Calvin in 1981, and Jeremy in 1994; and daughter-in-law Joanie in 2000.
