George Lux

George Jake Lux was born on September 5, 1920 in Granville, IA the son of Nicholas Anna (Hemmen) Lux. In 1921 they moved to a farm North of Sleepy Eye where George grew up and attended school. He was united in marriage to Mary Scherer on September 17, 1946 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye. The couple lived and farmed near Sleepy Eye for many years. George was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye. He loved farming, fishing, playing cards and visiting with family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Mary of New Ulm, children, Douglas Lux of New Ulm, Audrey (Larry) Johnson of Marquette, MI and Gerald (Michelle) Lux of Sleepy Eye, 3 grandchildren, Jeffery, Krystal Travis, 2 great-grandchildren, Carter Hayley and a sister-in-law, Phyllis Schouvieller.
