George Haler

Marion George Haler son of Edward and Marie (Ries) Haler was born in St. James on August 31, 1934. He was baptized and confirmed at St. James Catholic Church in St. James. He attended Catholic and rural school and graduated from Butterfield High School in 1952. George was united in marriage to Sandra Froehling on September 27, 1959 at St. Pauls Evangelical Lutheran Church in St. James where he has been an active member. George was employed by Watonwan Farm Services Co for 41 years. He served in the Minnesota National Guard for 9 years. George enjoyed spending time with his family, word puzzles, playing cards, watching the Twins and Vikings games and coffee at the Band Box. George Haler passed away at his home on Sunday, June 23, 2019. George is survived by his wife Sandra Haler of St. James, sons; David (Terri) Haler of St. James, Nathan (Jamie) Haler of Minnetonka, brother Ray Haler of St. James. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Al and Don Haler and sisters-in-law Janice Haler and Jane Haler.
