Genevieve Helen Dysart Gregg was born to Joseph and Francis Sominski (Lorbetski) on August 31, l918 in Greenbush, MN. Gen died on Friday, May 30th, 2008 at Immanuel St Joseph's Medical Center in Mankato, MN following a stroke just prior to hospitalization, just short of her 90th birthday. Genevieve Helen Dysart Gregg was born to Joseph and Francis Sominski (Lorbetski) on August 31, l918 in Greenbush, MN. She grew up there and in Wiboux, MT. She was trained as a beautician in Grand Forks, ND where she met and married Noel Kennedy Dysart in 1941. They lived in St. Louis, MO, then in Manila, Philippines and then settled in Springfield, MN in 1955. She was a homemaker, until the death of Ken in l965. She then was an Avon, and then a Mary Kay consultant. She married Floyd Orville Gregg in l979 and moved to Sleepy Eye, MN. She moved to St. John's Lutheran Home in 2004. She was known for her kind and gentle ways and has endeared herself to staff and residents there. She loved to dance. She enjoyed golfing, bowling and playing cards. She loved to travel and in the past has traveled extensively in Asia and Europe as well as to most states in the US, Canada and Mexico. She especially loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye. Gen died on Friday, May 30th, 2008 at Immanuel St Joseph's Medical Center in Mankato, MN following a stroke just prior to hospitalization, just short of her 90th birthday. Gen is survived by her children; Noel and his wife, Karen from Silver Springs, MD, Dennis and his wife, Ginger from San Diego, CA, Linda from Delta, CO (wife of Richard) and Mary from Apple Valley, MN; grandchildren, Lisa and Aaron Johnson, Jason and Rana Dysart, Ted and Elise Dysart, Nicole Blazer, Anne Dysart, Amy Dysart, Matthew Dysart, Nick Weiler, Amanda Weiler, Kelsy Dysart, Leslie Dysart, Madison Dysart and Joseph Dysart; twelve great grandchildren, sisters, Marie, Francis and Florence, many nieces and nephews, friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ken, her husband, Floyd, sisters, Julia and Eleanor, brothers, Albin and Edwin, children, twin daughters who died at birth, and son Richard.
