Geneva Anderson

Geneva Anderson, age 92, of St. James died on Friday, December 24, 2010, at the Good Samaritan Center in Jackson, MN. Geneva May Herthel was born on April 14, 1918, in Rockwell City, Iowa, the daughter of Virgil and Leota (Imm) Herthel. She grew up in Jeffers, MN, where she attended Jeffers High School. On March 10, 1940, she was united in marriage to Donald Anderson in Windon, MN. Geneva worked for many years as a waitress in several area restaurants. She loved to do babysitting for area children. She also enjoyed cooking and baking for her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other family and friends. She was always helping neighbors and friends and will be missed by all. She is survived by a daughter Sharon Firchau of Butterfield, sons Dennis (Barbara) Anderson of Leland, NC, Darrell Anderson of Buffalo, 6 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, sisters Lillian Miller and Marie Baylor both of Indiana. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother and 3 sisters.
