Gene Hildreth

Gene Hildreth age 89, of Lamberton, MN died on November 8, 2020, Carris Health - Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar, MN. Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions, services will be held at a later date. Gene Robert Hildreth was born on June 8, 1931 to Milo and Neoma (Holyer) Hildreth in Windom, MN. He was baptized on June 6, 1948. Gene graduated from Storden High School in 1949. He married Arlene Larsen on March 5, 1951. To this family they added 5 children - David, Susan, Mike, Patrick, and Kelly. Gene farmed his whole life and milked cows. He taught Sunday School, Confirmation, and Bethel Series which was very dear to him. He loved to bowl, golf, ride motorcycle, and travel. Gene also enjoyed the weekly card games with the Revere boys very much. He also loved to spend afternoon visiting shut ins. Gene and Jo Runck spent 12 special years together before the Lord called him home. He is survived by children - Dave (Alice) Hildreth of Mitchell, SD, Pat (Marla) Hildreth of Marshall, VA, and Kelly Hildreth of Rockford, IL; 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and cousin Ray Hildreth of Lamberton. Gene was preceded in death by his wife Arlene, son Mike, and daughter Sue. .
