Fred was formerly of Madison, WI, he had been a Naples resident the past seven years. He was born in New Ulm, MN the son of Wendelin Delores (Krambeer) Bruckbauer. Fred graduated from St. Marys in 1956. Fred attended the University of Minnesota where he pitched for the Gophers. He later became the first native Minnesotian to pitch for the Minnesota Twins. He went on to work for John Deere, Co. for thirty-five years. Fred was an avid hunter, fisherman and trap shooter all his life. Fred was a man of few words, but you couldn't know him without becoming his friend. Fred had a keen mind and a contagious spirit. He will be dearly missed by his loving family and all who knew him. Frederick Fred John Bruckbauer, 69, of Naples, died on Sunday, October 14, 2007 in Naples, FL He is survived by his devoted wife of 48 years, Kathy; his children, Terry (Laurie) Bruckbauer of Buckley, WA.; Debbie (Kent) Jacobson of Watertown, WI.; Sandy (Todd) Andrew of Winter Park, FL.; Amy (Brad) Ziegler of Delafield, WI.; brother, Rob (Jeanette) Bruckbauer of Remer, MN; grandchildren, Amanda, Patricia, Sam and Hunter Bruckbauer; Brett and Kaley Jacobson; Connor, Claire and Logan Andrew; and Mack, Jake, Hayden and Cade Ziegler; step-mother, Verena Renie Bruckbauer of Sleepy Eye and uncle Francis Krambeer of New Ulm.
