Frank Kujawa

Frank Vincent Kujawa was born January 22, 1928, in St. Cloud, MN the son of Vincent and Mary (Gapinski) Kujawa. He attended St. John Cantius Grade School and St. Cloud Tech High School, and served in the U.S. Navy from 1946 to 1948. Frank graduated from St. Cloud State University and taught school at Willow River High School for one year. He later moved to Sanborn where he taught Accounting, Typing, Business Law, Math, and Drivers Ed for 15 years. He then taught at Marshall High School for 15 years before retirement. Frank was united in marriage to Anne Marie Pint on July 14, 1956, at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Sanborn. He was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church where he served as a Lector, Eucharistic Minister, and sang in the choir. Frank served Sanborn as a volunteer firefighter and as City Clerk for several years. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, fishing, hunting, bowling, golfing, and especially enjoyed spending time with his family. Frank loved singing and was a member of the Chordhustlers barbershop chorus for many years. Frank Kujawa died Monday, December 10, 2012, at the Mayo Clinic Health System Hospital in Springfield at the age of 84 years. He is survived by wife Anne; sons- John and wife Louisa of Mankato, Steve and wife Amy of Blaine, and Tom of Sanborn; grandchildren- Derek, Jaime, Jed, Nick, Chris, Katie, Matthew, and Samuel; several great-grandchildren; sister Retta Venables of Florida; brothers- George (Dottie) of Chicago, and Jim (Mary) of Crookston; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Vincent and Mary; son Matt; brothers- Benedict, Alois, Edmund, Edward, and Richard; and sisters- Genevieve Schmid, and Irene Theis.
