Frances M. Gores

Fritzo (Frances) was born October 18, 1963, to Philip and Catherine (Wiltscheck) Sellner in Sleepy Eye. She attended St. Mary's Catholic School, graduating salutatorian in 1982. She then attended St. Mary's School of Nursing in Rochester, earning her L.P.N. degree in 1983. After working several years at the Sleepy Eye hospital, she dedicated the rest of her professional career to caring for the residents at Gilmore Manor in Morgan. She loved the elderly, and they, in return, loved her as an especially compassionate and competent nurse. She married Mark Gores on September 8, 2001, in St. Mary's Catholic Church and then lived in Clements. Fritzo had an incredible tenacity for life, enduring much suffering and overcoming many obstacles. Through all her trials, she maintained her unique sense of humor and her faith. As a creative and gifted artist, she shared her talents through her hobbies of drawing, painting, crafting, and decorating. She loved spending time with Mark and her family, especially her nieces and nephews. She is survived by her husband, Mark; her siblings, Kathleen (Chuck) Hansen-Lamb of Avoca, AR, Rose Marie (Tom) Schaefer of Madelia, Philip Sellner, Joseph Sellner, Mary Beth (Chuck) Botz, Michael Sellner all of Sleepy Eye, Bernadette (Bernard) Windschitl of Houston, MN, Anita (Glenn) Jensen of Springfield, and Donna (Tony) Steward of Sioux City, IA; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Philip and Catherine; two infant sisters, Patricia and Dorothea; nephew, Adam Jensen; and two brothers-in-law, Ron Hansen and Kelly Schroeder.
