Fernando Hinojosa Cantu

Fernando Hinojosa Cantu was born on January 14, 1947 in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. He was one of seven children born to Heberto Cantu and Maria de Jesus Hinojosa. Fernando was an active you man and loved to play baseball and soccer. He moved to the United States and settled in Iowa. Later, he moved to Madelia, MN and started a family. Fernando worked at Tony Downs, Vandenberg, and Spartech Plastics. He loved to watch baseball in his free time, listen to music, and was an excellent cook. Fernando Hinojosa Cantu, age 69, of Madelia, MN died on September 30, 2016, at the Luther Memorial Home in Madelia. Fernando is survived by his children, Roberto (Carly) Cantu of Bloomington, MN, Raquel Cantu of Madelia, MN, Elizabeth Cantu of Mountain Lake, MN; grandchildren, Silverio Ramirez, Graciela Ramirez, Claudio Ayala, Miguel Ayala, Alicia Ayala, Dominic Cantu, Caden Cantu; brother, Hector Cantu; sister, Blanca Segura, both of Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico and brother, Luis Cantu of San Antonio, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents, Heberto Cantu and Maria de Jesus Hinojosa; brothers, Heberto Cantu, Arturo Cantu and Rolando Cantu.
