Faye I. Ratzlaff

March 28, 1940 — October 29, 2025

Mountain Lake, MN

Faye Irene Dodge Ratzlaff of Mountain Lake, MN passed away peacefully on Oct. 29, 2025 at the Good Samaritan Village in Mountain Lake MN.

Visitation will be on Monday, Monday, November 3rd, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Mountain Lake Alliance Church. Funeral Service will be held at Mountain Lake Alliance Church on Monday at 11:00 AM. Interment will be at the Cornerstone Cemetery (Formerly EMB) in Mountain Lake, MN.

Faye was born to George W. and Amelia C. (Marth) Dodge on a farm 5 miles South of St. James, MN on March 28, 1940. Faye attended Country School for her first year and later attended Armstrong School in St. James. Faye remembered Santa visiting the Country school and he had shoes just like her Daddy's! Then she realized that it was her Dad!

Faye attended Armstrong School through the 6th grade and then attended the High School which was across town. Her Grandparents took her and her sister Elaine to School everyday.

In 1958, Milton Ratzlaff (Faye's brother-in-law), introduced her to Dennis Ratzlaff. Dennis and Faye were then married January 17, 1959, at the EMB Church which was then located North of Mt. Lake, next to its own cemetery.

Dennis joined the 1W service (Peace Corps) and the couple moved to Reedley, CA. While out there, they welcomed their first son, Kevin Lee. In 1961, they moved back to Mt. Lake where Dennis worked for Coop Creamery. Through the years, Faye worked at various jobs around the Mt. Lake area, including the Eventide Home, Epp's Dept. Store, the Mona Lynn Shoppe, The Village Shop, and Tony Downs to name a few. She also sold Avon for many years and worked at the Cenex C-Store for 27 years.

A second son was welcomed when they adopted Patrick James, who was 3 months old. Pat was a God send to Faye because right after they added Pat to the family, Linda Kay was born. Linda was born with heart and kidney problems and only lived one week. Approximately 2 years later, Michelle Denise was born.

Dennis and Faye enjoyed riding motorcycle, fishing, going out for coffee at Cenex with other friends and activities with the XYZ group in Church. Faye and Dennis also had many fond memories of their trip to Hawaii with friends. Faye is well known for her zwieback, meatballs, and other various foods that she shared with her family and friends at the Laker Apartments, as well as other people within the Community.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Kevin (Michelle) Ratzlaff, Patrick (Jenna) Ratzlaff and Michelle Quintero; Grandchildren Krystie (Mike) Haden, Travis (Bobbielee) Ratzlaff, Cody Ratzlaff, April Ratzlaff, Isaac Quintero and special friend Shanna Boyd, and Josiah Quintero; Great Grandchildren Madison, Hunter and Kyle Haden and Hayden and Finn Ratzlaff.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Ratzlaff, infant daughter, Linda Kay, sister Elaine Ratzlaff, sister-in-law Pauline Friesen, brother-in-laws, Milton Ratzlaff, John Ratzlaff and Willard Ratzlaff, and many aunts and uncles.
