Everett Soukup

Everett J. Soukup was born December 12, 1916 in Sleepy Eye, MN to John and Anna (Haala) Soukup. He was united in marriage to Marie Forster on October 27, 1941 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye. The couple farmed south of Sleepy Eye for many years. Everett was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed reading, farming, country drives, gardening, and taking care of the lawn and his cats. Everett especially enjoyed spending time with his family. Everett became a resident of the Sleepy Eye Care Center in October of 2013. He is survived by sons- David and special friend JoAnn of Minneapolis, Paul and wife Linda of New Ulm, Rick and special friend Emily of Prescott, AZ, and Ron and wife Diane of Blaine; 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and sisters- Ordell Krambeer of Sleepy Eye, Marcella Kestner of Albert Lea, and Anne Marie West of Denver, CO. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Marie in 2005; daughter-in-law Sharon; brother Clifford; and sister Alyce Krzmarzick.
