Ethel Miller

Ethel Mae Bloom was born on November 18, 1940, the daughter of Emery and Daisy (Grimms) Bloom. On July 26, 1958, Ethel was united in marriage to LaVerne Miller at St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Hector. The couple renewed their wedding vows 50 years later in 2008. The couple lived in Hector where she was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. Ethel worked for Hutch Tech for many years. LaVerne died in December of 2013, Ethel then moved to Brickstone Manor in Comfrey in 2014 and in 2016 she moved to St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield. When she moved to Comfrey, Ethel became a member of New Hope Lutheran Church. Ethel had a collection of eagles, Christmas houses, and angels. She loved playing bingo and cards, listening to music, and reading. She was quick witted and loved talking and joking with people. Ethel died on Wednesday, March 27, 2019, at Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Mankato at the age of 78. She is survived by nieces and nephews. Ethel was preceded in death by her parents; husband LaVerne; sons - Billy Miller on February 6, 2012, Baby Miller in infancy, and Bobby Miller on May 13, 1973; 2 sisters and 3 brothers.
