Esther Schoepfer

Esther Ann Gulden was born to Emil and Emma on December 27, 1925 in Nicollet County. She grew up and attended country school. She married Emil Schroepfer on September 18, 1944 at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm. The couple made their home south of Sleepy Eye where they lived and farmed until retiring and moving to Sleepy Eye in 1987. Esther was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church where she was a member of the Catholic Aid Association and the Christian Mothers. Esther enjoyed reading, listening to old time music and playing cards. Esther Ann (Gulden) Schroepfer, 80, of Sleepy Eye, MN died on Friday, December 15, 2006 at Countryside Apartments in Sleepy Eye, MN. She is survived by her daughters, Marjorie (Richard) Zins of Tempe, AZ, Sharon (Roger) Kral of Sleepy Eye; son, Kenneth Schroepfer of Sleepy Eye; 4 grandchildren, Ricky Zins, Jamie Zins, Amy Helvig and Lisa Schnieder; brothers, Leo (LaVerna) Gulden, Robert (Delores) Gulden both of New Ulm and a sister, Myrtle Cooke of Mankato. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband - Emil in November 2004.
