Esther Garner

Although she was the mother of only one child, God blessed her with 34 grandchildren not to mention the numerous others who considered her "grandma" because of her abounding gift of hospitality and love for others. She always had "sweets" and coffee for anyone who stopped by. More than anything she loved The Lord and her family and will be remembered for her faithfulness to both. She is survived by her son, Elverne Garner of St. James, 5 grandchildren, Cathy (Ruben) Meyer of St. James, Cindy (Paul) Hoover of Milwaukee, WI, Laure Standerwick of St. James, Tammy (Tom) Bergeron of Germantown, WI, Julie (David) Cook of St. Joseph, IL, 16 great-grandchildren, 13 great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Clifford, parents Carl Mathilda Mausling, 7 brothers and sisters, and a daughter-in-law, Louise Garner.
