Estella Wilma Dorothy Andersen

Estella entered into her eternal rest on March 6, 2018 (on her 90th Birthday) at Pleasant View Good Samaritan Society in St. James. A celebration of Life Service for Estella Andersen, of St. James and formerly of rural Ormsby, will be Friday, March 16 at Sturm Funeral Home in St. James. Visitation will be at 11:00 a.m. with a service at 12:30 p.m. Burial will be at Long Lake Lutheran Church Cemetery. Estella Wilma Dorothy Breitbarth, daughter of August and Alvina (Bush) Breitbarth, was born on March 6, 1928, at Wishek, North Dakota. She was baptized at Evangelical Lutheran Grace Church, Wishek, ND. In 1938, at the age of 10, Estella moved with her family to a farm West of Trimont, MN. Estella attended District 34, a Country School about 4 miles East of her home until 8th grade. She then graduated from Trimont High School in 1946. In 1947 she graduated from DeLyle's Beauty Academy in Fairmont. She was employed at the Trimont Beauty Shop for two years and then owned the business until 1955. In 1960, Estella had an addition put on their family farm home and operated a Beauty Shop there until 1978. She later worked for Green Giant and Tony Downs Foods in St. James. Estella was united in marriage to Silas George Stauffer on November 12, 1950. They had two children Suzette Estella Stauffer and Stuart Silas Stauffer. They farmed in Ormsby, MN. On June 30, 1979, Estella was united in marriage to Harry Rhode Andersen. They loved spending their retirement years camping at Dawson's Campground in Fairmont, MN. She is survived by her son, Stuart (Kathy) Stauffer of Cannon Falls, MN; son-in-law Robert Becker of Lewisville, MN; step-children - Donna (Dewey) Rankin of St. James; Dan (LeAnn) Andersen of South Sioux City, NE; Delores (Dawes) Beynon of Brookings, SD; Ken (Kathy) Andersen of Ogallala, NE; sister Viola Bernhardt of Trimont, MN; 18 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Estella was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Silas Stauffer and Harry Andersen; daughter Suzette (Andersen) Becker on November 21, 2017; son-in-law Gary Andersen; brother, Alfred Breitbarth; sisters Lavera Nordby and Luella Wolff; sister-in-law Irene Stauffer; brothers-in-law Evan Stauffer, Seigfried Bernhardt, Reuben Nordby and Gideon Wolff.
