Ervin J. Windschitl

Ervin Joseph Windschitl was born August 9, 1937 in Sleepy Eye, MN to John R. and Anna (Sellner) Windschitl. Ervin attended Country School in Leavenworth and then graduated high school from Sleepy Eye St. Mary's in 1955. Ervin married Barb Kokesch on November 18, 1961 at St. George Catholic Church. Ervin farmed his entire life in Leavenworth Township. Ervin's greatest enjoyment came from collecting. restoring and pulling antique John Deere tractors. Ervin also loved attending and supporting all of his grandchildren's sporting events. He also enjoyed listening to the MN Twins. He was a member of Prairieland Flywheeler Two Cylinder Club, the Japanese Martyrs Church where he was a Church Council Member and the Knights of Columbus. Ervin also was a Supervisor for many years of Brown County Soil and Water Conservation. Ervin is survived by his wife, Barb, daughter, Lisa and son-in-law Jeff Ibberson, son, Jason and daughter-in-law Barb Windschitl, grandchildren, Kyle and Sydney Windschitl, Anna Ibberson and special friend Genaro Roman and Mya Ibberson and special friend Brandon Wait, brother, Harold (Yvonne) Windschitl, brothers-in-law, Vernus Kokesch and special friend Mary Ann, John (Delores) Kokesch, Dave (Dolores) Kokesch and Roman Huiras and sister-in-law, Jean Kokesch. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Tim, sister, Lorraine (Arnie) Roiger, brothers-in-law, Willard Kokesch, George Kokesch and sister-in-law, Mary Lou Huiras.
