Ernest Trapp

Ernest Frank Trapp, Jr. was born on May 14, 1940 to Ernest and Alvina (Dewitz) Trapp in Sanborn, MN. He graduated from Sanborn High School with the class of 1958. On June 22, 1985, Ernie was united in marriage to Elizabeth Eykyn at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Lamberton. Ernie worked as a welder, mechanic, and truck driver through out his adult life. He was a firearm's safety instructor for many years. Ernie was a member of the Sons of the American Legion since 1986 and also Our Savior's Lutheran Church. He enjoyed hunting, riding motorcycles, and spending time with his family and friends. Ernest Trapp, Jr. died on Friday, January 3, 2020 at Valley View Manor at the age of 79. He is survived by his children - Michelle, Bob, Kenny, and Teresa; step-children - Heath (Kelly), Marnie (Juan), and Gerald; step-grandchildren - Camden, Miranda, Dalton, Faith, and Lacey; and sister-in-law Darlene Trapp. Ernie was preceded in death by his parents; wife Elizabeth in 2014; brothers - Thomas and Robert; and 2 grandchildren.
