Erna Kieper

Erna Katherine Kieper was born February 11, 1911 in Burnstown Township, MN the daughter of August and Katherine (Polzin) Kieper. Erna worked for Sward-Kemp Drug for 49 years. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Springfield and enjoyed playing sheephead, bingo, and putting puzzles together. Erna also enjoyed being with family, especially the little children. Erna Kieper died Sunday, November 24, 2013 at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield at the age of 102. Erna is survived by her great-niece Donna (Kieper) and husband Cary Harstad, and their children Stephanie, Kristen, and Daniel; great-nephew Curt and wife Val Kieper and their children Justin and wife Lisa, Jacob and special friend Caralyn Stevens, and Jordan; great-nephew Korey and wife Raquel Kieper and their children Amelia and Kinley; and niece-in-law Betty Kieper. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Albert, Arthur, and Reinhold; nephew Gerald Kieper; and special friend Elmer Churchill.
