Erma Rae Griffith, age 77, of Saint James, died on November 3, 2024, at Truman Senior Living in Truman, Minnesota.
Funeral service will be held at East Sveadahl Lutheran Church in rural Saint James, on Monday, November 11, 2024, at 12:00 pm, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery in Saint James. Arrangements are with Sturm Funeral Home in Saint James. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.sturmfh.com.
Erma was born on July 24, 1947, to Ray and Vera (Scott) Glime in Saint Paul, Minnesota. She graduated from Saint James High School in 1965. On July 18, 1969, she was united in marriage to Nick Griffith at the United Methodist Church in Saint James. Erma worked for Tony Downs for more than 40 years in the accounting department. Following retirement, she continued to work at Fleet and Farm in Saint James. In her free time, Erma enjoyed quilting, sewing, playing cards, spending time with family and friends and was known for always saying, “I’m good” no matter the situation.
Erma is survived by her husband, Nick Griffith; sisters, Jo Haugan and Barbara Schieck (Dennis); brother-in-law, Paul Hoffman (Beverly); sister-in-law, Jill Wiedow (Mike); nieces, Rebecca Haugan, Sara Haugan, Anna Prentice (Chris); nephews, Joshua Haugan, Cody Hoffman (Cora), Caleb Hoffman (Julia), Troy Lindquist (Nicole); great nieces and nephews, Josh, Kaylene, Alysen Lindquist, Jordan Ehlert, Kellen Hoffman, Landry and Elsie Hoffman; great-great nephew, Izaiah Lindquist; and extended family, Mary Miller (Brian) and their children, Brynn, Greyson, and Finnian.
Erma was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Vera Glime; parents-in-law, Dale and Jane Hoffman; brother-in-law, Dennis Haugan; and niece, Mindy Dahl.
