Emily Brown was born to Ferdinand and Katherine (Meins) Pabst on June 1, 1918, in Jackson County. Emily married George Brown on June 6, 1938. The couple operated Duely Brothers Implement in Sanborn. Emily enjoyed her big vegetable garden, doing housecleaning, babysitting, was head of her bean walking crew, spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids. Emily was a member of New Life Assembly of God Church. In August 2010, Emily moved to Valley View Manor in Lamberton where she enjoyed church services, bible study groups, and visiting with others. On August 1, 2022, the dear Lord called her home at the age of 104. She is survived by her children Wallace (Fernetta) Brown of Dent, Rosemary (Richard) Bassett of New Ulm, and Robert Brown of Savage; 8 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 11 great great grandchildren; and sister Alma Peggy Bredvold of Springfield. Emily was preceded in death by her parents, husband George in 1990, daughter-in-law Carol in 2016, sisters - Hilda Weicherding, Lorraine Polzin, Gertrude Wall, Marie Essig, and Ruth Kronback; and brothers - Albert, Carl, Emil, and John Pabst.
