Elsie H Osborne

Elsie H. Osborne, age 83, of Madelia, MN, died on October 22, 2023, at Birchwood Cottages in Mankato.

Service will be held at the Trinity Lutheran Church-Madelia, on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at 10:00 am, visitation one hour prior to the funeral.

The clergy will be Calvin Hanson. Interment will be at the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Madelia.

Elsie Helen Opal (Olson) Osborne was born January 16, 1940 on a farm in Erickson Township, Renville County, 5.5 miles northeast of Sacred Heart, MN to Gilford and Evelyn (Wiglund) Olson.  She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sacred Heart.  She attended Country School District 43 for 6 years and graduated from Sacred Heart Public School in 1957.  She married Philip Osborne on April 20th, 1963 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sleepy Eye, MN. Elsie went to school for Cosmetology in Mankato, MN and then worked in Sleepy Eye.  After marrying Philip, she had her own salon for 29 years in Madelia.

She is survived by her two sons, Stacy (Linda) of North Mankato and Matthew Sr. of Mountain Home, AR; 4 grandsons, Matthew Jr. (Stephanie) of Ft Leavenworth, KS, Kendall of Ballwin, MO, Baylor and Declan of Mountain Home, AR, and 2 great-granddaughters, Tate and Sawyer of Ft Leavenworth, KS.
