Elmer Schultz

Elmer Stanley Schultz born July 27, 1920, in Sanborn, MN to George and Bertha (Hoffman) Schultz. He was united in marriage to Lillian Severson on August 12, 1940, at Spirit Lake, Iowa. He attended Sanborn Public School and Dunwoody Institute in Minneapolis. In 1953 he started Lamberton Heating and Plumbing, retiring in 1982 when he sold the business to his sons, Dave and Scott. Following his retirement, Elmer and Lil enjoyed wintering in LaFeria, Texas for 30 years. Elmer served on the Board of Directors at the FandM Bank and Valley View Manor, was a member of the Justice Masonic Lodge of Lamberton and Fides Masonic Lodge 246 of Sanborn; Scottish Rite, Osman Shrine Club; Past Grand Patron of the Order of Eastern Star of Minnesota; a charter member of Lamberton Lions Club; and a member of Lamberton United Methodist Church. Elmer enjoyed genealogy and coin collecting. Elmer died on July 16, 2013, at Valley View Manor Care Center in Lamberton, MN. He is survived by his wife, Lillian; Children: Diana (Ken) Olson, Vancouver, WA; Shari Kieper, Lamberton; Dave Schultz, Lamberton and Scott (Sharon) Schultz, Lamberton; fourteen grandchildren: Kerry Olson, Todd Olson, Kelly Southern, Tim Olson; Kathy Wacker; Robert Davis, Roger Davis, Jason Schultz, Nathan Schultz, Hilary Welch, Nikki Larsen; Bryan Schultz, Heather Westerman, Heidi Maynard; 32 great-grandchildren: two great-great grandchildren; sisters: Gladys Darkow and Eileen Radtke and sisters-in-law, Norma Schultz and Donna Schultz. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Bertha Schultz; brothers, Melbert Schultz and Ervin Schultz; brother-in-law, Ted Darkow; daughter, Jacalyn Schultz and granddaughter, Michelle Kieper.
