Elmer Matzke

Elmer Matzke was born on July 9, 1946, in Springfield, MN, the son - Anthony and Augusta (Stern) Matzke. He attended Lamberton and Springfield High School and graduated from Springfield High School. Elmer has worked for LandS Electric for 28 years, retiring in 2011. He enjoyed fishing, family, and was a handyman to anyone that needed help. Elmer was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Springfield.Elmer died on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield at the age of 66 years. He is survived by his sisters - Esther Kruse of Pipestone, Arlene Kruse of Hutchinson, Helen Goll of Alexandria, Edna (Howard) Goll of Hancock, and Emma Wall of Balaton; brothers - Ervin (Michele) Matzke of Rochester, William Matzke of Alexandria, and Alvin Matzke of Springfield; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother - Robert; brothers-in-law - Herb Kruse, Harold Wall, John Goll, and Lavern Kruse; and a niece.
