Elmer Altenburg

Elmer Arthur Altenburg was born January 28, 1918 in Pleasant Township, Blue Earth County, Minnesota to parents Otto and Frieda (Hubrig) Altenburg. Elmer farmed in that area until 1963. On August 6, 1939, Elmer married Juanita Pahl. He married Adeline (Satre) White on January 11, 1986. Elmer worked as a machinist with ST Industries until his retirement. He loved fishing and tending garden. He was preceded in death by his first wife, parents, 3 children, 2 sisters and 2 step-children. Grateful for having shared in his life are his wife Adeline Altenburg of Odin, son Bob (Angie) Altenburg of Madelia, daughters Kay Bartelt of Watertown, WI, Marjorie (Charles Osborn of Bellingham, WA, step-children Larry White (Elaine) of Mayer, Nancy (David) Wiener of Fulda, 18 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
