Elizabeth Wall

Elizabeth Schultz, daughter of David S. and Sara (Flaming) Schultz was born on June 15, 1914 in Mountain Lake, MN. She grew up on the family farm west of Mountain Lake with six brothers and two sisters. Elizabeth was baptized upon confession of her faith and on September 16, 1928 was received into the membership of the Bruderthaler Church. The church name became Evangelical Mennonite Brethren which is now Cornerstone Bible Church. She was a faithful member; singing in the church choir, a Sunday School teacher for the young children for over 40 years, active in Women's ministries, and serving on the refreshment committee. On August 29, 1943, Elizabeth was united in marriage to Aron A. Wall at the Bruderthaler Church. The couple lived and farmed in Midway Township, Cottonwood County, MN on the farm of Aron's grandfather. They retired from farming in 1976. The couple moved into Mountain Lake in 1979. Elizabeth enjoyed hosting, camping, quilting, and time with grandchildren and great grandchildren. Elizabeth died on Sunday, June 19, 2011 at the Windom Sogge Home. She attained the age of 97 years and 4 days. She is survived by her son - Michael and wife Charie wall of Omaha, NE; daughters - Janice and her husband Rick Herrig of Mountain Lake, MN and Donna and her husband Ken Groeneweg of Wyoming, MN; 14 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; two brothers - Abe and wife Myrtle Schultz of Mountain Lake, MN and Leonard Schultz of Mountain Lake, MN; three sisters-in-law - Augusta Schultz of Marion, SD, Irene Schultz of Melrose, MN, and Eunice Wall of Mountain Lake, MN; and many other relatives and friends. She has been preceded in death by her parents; husband - Aron; two sisters; and four brothers. We do not mourn as those without hope, but as those that have the living hope in Christ Jesus that we will meet her again at the resurrection of the just.
