Eleanor Buche

Eleanor Sarah Buche was born on the home farm on May 24, 1918 in Prairieville Township, Brown County, MN, the daughter of Rudolph Sarah (Hansen) Johnson. She grew up and attended country school. Eleanor was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church. She worked at the Sleepy Eye Hospital before marrying Luverne Vern Buche on May 15, 1965 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sleepy Eye. They lived in New Ulm, rural New Ulm, Courtland and Kilkenny. After Vern's death she moved back home with her sisters and brother. Eleanor enjoyed gardening, growing flowers, crocheting and quilting was her favorite past time. She also liked playing cards. She is survived by her sisters-in-law, Violet Johnson of Glencoe, Marian Johnson of Sleepy Eye, many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Luverne, brothers, Christ, Wilbert Lester, sisters, Verna Groff, Mary, Verdina, Mathilda Hazel Johnson, three brothers in infancy and brother-in-law, Halvor Groff.
