Eleanor Esther Steinke was born on March 7, 1926 in Springfield, MN the daughter of Andrew Ida (Krueger) Steinke. She grew up and graduated from high school in Springfield. Eleanor married Richard H. Dick Beech on April 3, 1944 on Whidbey Island in Washington. The couple made their home in Sleepy Eye where Eleanor was a homemaker and worked as a secretary and also in real estate sales. Eleanor was a member of the United Congregational Church in Sleepy Eye until it closed. She was also a Grand Page and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Eleanor was active in the Ladies Auxiliary at church, enjoyed doing cross word puzzles, and was a dedicated Minnesota Twins Fan. Survivors include her sons, Jerry (Marcy) Beech of Northfield, Brian (Mary) Beech of Bloomington and Tim (Karen) Beech of Sleepy Eye, 3 grandchildren, 1 step-grandchild, 2 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, Fidelis Steinke of Springfield, brothers-in-law, Bob (Vicky) Beech of Mound, MN, Rex (Judy) Beech of Sleepy Eye and sister-in-law Donna (Dennis) Schoephoerster of Kansas City, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Dick in 1999, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Al Elsie Beech, brothers, Bill Melvin and sister, Elsie. Blessed be her memory
