Eldora Marie Krenz, age 87, of Madelia, died on April 27, 2025, at Living Meadows at Luther in Madelia.
Visitation will be on Friday, May 2, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Sturm Funeral Home in Saint James and will continue on Saturday from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Saint Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church. Funeral will be held at Saint Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church in Saint James on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 11:00 am. Interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery in Saint James. Arrangements are with Sturm Funeral Home in Saint James. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.sturmfh.com.
Eldora was born August 2, 1937, to Alfred and Emma (Mathias) Niemeier in Saint James. She grew up near South Branch and graduated from Saint James High School in 1955 as the class valedictorian. On November 12, 1955, Eldora married Dwayne Krenz at Saint Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church in Saint James. Together, they raised three children.
Together, Eldora and Dwayne raised crops and had a dairy operation for many years. Later in life, she worked in housekeeping at Living Meadows in Madelia. She enjoyed sewing and quilting, giving each of her children and grandchildren special quilts. In her free time, Eldora completed many crossword puzzles, played in card club, was a member of the Red Hat Society, enjoyed square dancing with Dwayne, and going out to eat. She had an artistic talent and took pride in the many remodeling projects she and Dwayne accomplished over the years.
Eldora is survived by her children, LuAnn (Ed) Mays, Warren (Kathy) Krenz, Tracy (Gary) Anderson; grandchildren, Nicole Mays, Kyle (Krista) Mays, Allie (Travis) Kiecker, Andrew (Jessie) Krenz, Lindsey Wooten, and Rhys (Darci) Tiedeken; great-grandchildren, Tehya (Aaron), Mia, Nicholas, Jillian, Alayna, Carson, Corbin, Adilyn, August, Maisie, Trinity, and Briar; and great-great grandchildren, Kingston and Hayzen.
Eldora was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dwayne; granddaughter, Whitney Tiedeken; great-grandson, Abel Wooten, grandson-in-law, Michael Wooten; brothers, Norman Niemeier and Clarence (RaMona) Niemeier; and sister, Hilma (Don) Johnson.
