Eldora Chase

Eldora Anna Marie Chase, the daughter of Benjamin and Emma (Christnagel) Mutsch was born on May 23, 1910 in Madelia, MN. She attended elementary school in Madelia and graduated high school in 1927, in Newfolden, MN. She was united in marriage to Vergil Chase in Hallock, MN on October 29, 1930. Vergil and Eldora made their home in Madelia, MN. Eldora worked at various jobs, James Hardware Store, Luther Memorial Home, and Sr. Citizen Transportation. Eldora was a member and active in the First Baptist Church. She was a Sunday school teacher and superintendent, president of family night and a youth worker. Eldora is survived by her son, Douglas (Helen) of Hudson, Fl; daughter-in-law, Patricia Chase of Elk River; grand-daughters, Julie Chase of Elk River, Mary Chase of Minneapolis, Lori (Chris) Schmidt of Otsego; great grand-children, Chase and Lexis Schmidt of Otsego; sister, Betty Lindquist of Minneapolis and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband Vergil in 1977; son, Richard in 2011; brothers, Harold, Ralph, Edward, Luzerne and Robert; sisters, Margaret, Hulda and Lydia.
