Eldonna "Dolly" Marion Fenger, the daughter of Charles and Hedwig (Ludwig) Bloedow was born January 11, 1924 in Willow Lake Township, Redwood County. Dolly attended country school and graduated from Lamberton High School in 1942. After graduation, Dolly received her teaching license and taught at local country schools from 1943 until her engagement to Hilman Fenger in 1947. On June 1, 1947 she married Hilman R. Fenger in Willow Lake Township, Redwood County. They made their home on her family farm where they farmed side by side and raised their three children. Dolly continued to reside on the farm until her health forced her to move to Valley View Manor Care Center. Dolly was active on the farm always feeding the chickens and cats and helping Hilmy when spring and fall fieldwork needed to be done. As Hilmy would cop at the Wanda dances, Dolly would be taking tickets, it was very seldom that you would see one without the other. Dolly was known as the egg lady around the Wanda community where you could depend on her to deliver her farm fresh eggs. She was very active in the Willow Lake Church where she served on the ladies aid and volunteered wherever her services were needed. Dolly loved to see her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren when they would come to visit her, holding each one on her lap and just smiling with pride. Dolly loved to sew, travel, fish, tend to the farm, and most importantly spending time with her family. She is survived by her son - Harlan Fenger; fourteen grandchildren - Geraye (Steve) Menk, Ferris Grund, Marrett Grund, Crystal Grund (Rene MacLeod) Jason (Kelly) Fenger, Chuck (Michelle) Fenger, Crissy (Mike) Rogotzke, Jennifer (Brian) Timm, Michael Fenger (Brooklyn Fitzl) Alesia Fenger, Tricia Fenger Rindy (Robert) Filzen, Joel (Kathy) Fenger and Chasten (Amy) Fenger; 29 great grandchildren; son-in-law - Dale Grund; and daughter-in-law - Sherry Fenger.
