Elaine M. (Johnson) Seidl was born on November 4, 1929 to August Gunhild (Meld) Johnson in the Twin Cities. She attended District 35 Country School through 8th grade and then Walnut Grove Public High School graduating in 1947. She married Linus Seidl on November 25, 1950 at St. Mary's Parsonage. They lived in Walnut Grove, Marshall, Tampa, Fl, Kansas City, MO and Minneapolis prior to moving to Sleepy Eye in 1968. Elaine worked at AUI for 13 years. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Women of the Moose, Al-Anon, CCW and St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, visiting friends, fishing, traveling, old time music and going to polka dances. She is survived by her children, Ronald (Teresa) Seidl of New Ulm, Connie (Mike) Davis of St. Paul, Debbie Breault fiance Doug Reinarts of Comfrey, Mike (Sue) Seidl of Spring Lake Park, ten grandchildren, two step grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, four step great grandchildren, one step great great grandchild, sisters, Pearl (Rich) Van de Wiele of Walnut Grove, Judy (Karl) Dagner of Lamberton and close friend, Geneva Barnett of Jackson. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Linus in 1980, brothers, Edward and Alan and sisters, Darlene and Connie.
