Elaine L Hedman

Elaine L Hedman, age 86, of Lamberton, MN died on March 4, 2024, at Ava's House in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Visitation will be on Thursday, March 7, 2024 from 10 am to 11 am at Zion Lutheran Church, Sanborn, MN. A service will be held at Zion Lutheran Church on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at 11 am. The clergy will be Pastor Ethan Boese. Interment will be at the Sanborn City Cemetery.

Mrs. Lloyd (Elaine) Hedman of Lamberton, MN was born January 5, 1938 in Sanborn, MN to Albert and Elsie Hoffmann. She was baptized in the Christian faith and confirmed April 6, 1952 at Zion Lutheran Church in Sanborn, MN. Elaine married Glen Redman on September 1, 1963. Glen passed away in 1967. She married Lloyd Hedman on May 26, 1973. Lloyd passed away November 29, 2003. Elaine worked at the Steak House at Sanborn Corners, at Control Data in Redwood Falls, and at the Toro Company in Windom for 32 and a half years. She loved the outdoors, playing softball, fishing, hunting and winning golf tournaments at the Westbrook Rolling Hills Golf Course. She was an avid professional sports fan, and one of her favorite activities was mowing the lawn on her farm. Elaine loved her life on the farm and was able to live out her life there.

Elaine is survived by her son, Keith (Nancy Shahadi) Hedman; granddaughters, Nicole (Greg) Gease and Kim Hedman; sister, Delna Redman; nephew, Mark Redman; many other nieces and nephews, and many friends. Elaine was preceded in death by her parents; siblings - Melford, Warren, Delmar, Arliss, Vinetta, Mabel, Dorothy; sister-in-law Aggie Hoffmann and brother-in-law Arvid Redman.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Elaine's memory to Zion Lutheran Church or Old Westbrook Lutheran Church.
